Homosexuality and its Paradoxes

Indian Philosophy has a vast history of homosexuality starting from the 8th century, yet a lot of people has no knowledge about it. Such people do not accept this kind of sexuality considering it a western trend and others find it offensive towards their religion and beliefs. What people don't know is that having sex with the same gender is not just a matter of attraction and satisfaction but it is also a desire of living. Do you know the basic difference between a homosexual and a heterosexual? NOTHING but being satisfied with a different genital! Great Indian texts like the Shatapatha Brahmana mentions homosexual union between two gods- Mitra and Varuna which was written in 800 B.C. Different medical texts written in 400 B.C such as the Sushruta Samhita describes homosexual, transgender and intersex condition as inborn. Also Ancient Indian temples such as Khajuraho Complex depicts two gay men engaging physically is another evidence to finally break the paradox of the people who cannot accept the desire of living of more than 10% of people presently living in India. WHY? Because their ancestors wouldn't have agreed to this (except knowing the fact that they actually started it.)

Mitra and Varuna

Another Paradox created to keep this issue off the table was that homosexuals reproduce comparatively low than the heterosexuals. Such people also claimed that engaging physically with the same gender is a sick mindset which needs to be cured either through religion practice or medical treatment. They don't even realize that the very first human being to acknowledge his attraction towards the same gender must have been terrified. He must have tried to run from his reality or hide it as much as he could. The fact that the society won't accept him must have haunted him and guess what? We are here talking about the first homosexual reproduced by two heterosexuals which proves that homosexuality is an emotion. A woman wanting to touch another woman's breast is an emotion, a feeling which cannot be determined by what her parents find attractive in bed.
